Hi, I'm Steve 👋

speaking

Howdy, I’m Steve Lorello, I’m a hacker, builder, and speaker. I’m a Senior Field Engineer at Redis where I’ve built/maintained a variety of projects used by thousands of developers. I’ve also had the opportunity to speak all over the world. I’ve taken the stage at a variety of venues from Miami, to Louisville, to London, all the way out to Prague to share my knowledge across a variety of topics including Computer Vision, Data Structures, and of course Redis.

I can hack in pretty much anything, (C/C++, golang, js/ts, Java), but I probably most specialized in .NET which is the ecosystem I got my start in building one of the sub-systems of the new generation of Global Positioning System (GPS) Satellites.

Current Projects

  • Triton Redis Cache - a Redis cache for NVIDIA’s Triton Server, allowing you to avoid re-running inferences.
  • RU102N: Redis for .NET Developers - A free Redis University course to bootstrap a .NET developers journey with using Redis.
  • Redis SQL ODBC - A native ODBC for Redis, providing a SQL interface for Redis usable for third-party BI tools that can consume ODBC drivers
  • Redis OM .NET - a LINQ-based interface for Redis
  • Redis Grafana Datasource - Grafana Datasoruce for Redis (I’m only the maintainer, not the creator!)
