Hello all, my name is Steve Lorello. I’ve been a .NET developer for the better part of a decade, so I’ve seen and done my fair share. I’ve worked up and down the stack from interfacing with FPGAs, to building cloud services and have loved every minute it.
I got my start in .NET working on the Global Positioning System (GPS) and have never looked back. Today, I work as the .NET developer advocate for @Vonage, where I enable developers to be the best they can be, assist and help shape various Vonage API products, and build some pretty neat integrations and demo’s with Vonage’s products.
In addition to my work as the .NET Advocate for Vonage, I am also a Graduate Student at Georgia Tech. I study Artificial Intelligence and Computer perception, so if you notice a bit of a tilt in my work towards those areas of study that’s why.
I grew up in Northern NJ where I went to Montclair State and Ramapo. My wife and I moved to sunny Melbourne FL in 2016 and in spite of the hurricanes have never looked back, we can’t give up the beach!
Oh did I mention we have a dog? His name is Zero and he’s a whippet. Whippet’s are known for their stunning speed, but you’d never know it to look at him as he ordinarily spends about 20 hours a day sleeping! Here’s one of the few pictures I have of him not curled up on the couch
